Two Journeys Start Tonight

Tonight, the Yanks begin the their final approach to number 27, and the Rangers begin their quest for Lord Stanley. Though short series are tough to predict, I like the Yanks to win three in a row starting tonight. I think their hitting will overwhelm all comers and they're bringing better D than they've brought in quite some time. The starting pitching runs hot a cold, but I'm expection hot and I really like the pen they've chosen for the postseason. Go Yankees!

The Rangers showed a lot of character last year bouncing back from a tough start, then really looking good before their second round elimination in the playoffs. They've added three key pieces, Chris Drury, Scott Gomez and brand name rookie defender, Marc Staal. They're gonna have enough fire power and grit up front, and they have an all world goalie. The question is: do they have enough defense. Statistically, they played good team D last year, and I expect the development of Tyutin, Girardi and Staal to put them over the top this year. Go Rangers!

Two teams, two titles. Make it so!

Big sports night tonight!!!!! For the Rangers I expect us to make a move on the D if it becomes problematic. Those rumors about Prucha being dealt in the summer may resurface. I expect Hossa to be gone so that we can slide someone else down and put Dawes on a top line.

Yanks need to grind. Be patient, make CC throw a lot of pitches, and we will be on our way to 27.
