Pushing Daisies
There's a lot of talent involved in ABC's new "Pushing Daisies" not the least of which belongs to Producer/Director Barry Sonnenfield (who we love from his work with the Coens and Get Shorty) and Bryan Fuller (who we know from Heroes, Wonderfalls and Dead Like Me). Anyway, these two kids have gotten together and created a very quirky show based on the idea that a guy has the power to reanimate the dead with his touch. There are a few sort of random caveats that come with the power that drive the series. They've also managed to create a roll of Chi McBride that doesn't really call for him to overdo it. Nice work. I just wonder if the audience will stay with a show this quirky over the long haul. Let's find out. But, it's fun to have Sonnenfield and Fuller making a show for us.

Really enjoyed it, but suspect it will go the way of Wonderfalls (a show I loved) -- a handful of shows aired and then gone until DVDs. Also, read Sonnenfield will not be involved past the 2nd episode, due to costs.. will be interested in seeing how that effects the show's look.
Hope I'm wrong, and PD finds an audience.
it shouldn't effect it too much as he will have created the look by then and other will be working within his lines. We'll see what happens, Wonderfalls was one of the shows I had in mind when I worried about the fate of this one.
