Rangers Still Struggling

Jagr, Gomez, Shanny and Drury just haven't established any chemistry yet, and the refs tonight made it even tougher on the Rangers with a series of really mysterious penalty calls. Further, Malik was terribe again, and Hossa the lesser was useless and missed Jagr on a lot of passes. I guess it will take a little more time for the team to jell. Sick to see so many missed opportunities with game on, though.

You said it best Hossa was useless, and Malik was and is terrible. I love Gomez's speed. He made some nice passes, we need to finish those plays. Dawes needs to be on the roster. Drury and Jagr looked a bit more comfortable to me. Malikival needs to go, and Straka too. Betts MUST be back on the 4th line with Dubinsky on 3. That said I think we will get things going as I have seen some signs.

Hey guys, just got back from the game.

Just some objective tidbits for the rangers folk despite my islander fandom.

Referees were abysmal. DP stood on his head a few times.

Callahan is a find. Quick hands in all zones, and very impressive positionally. That guy is core without doubt.

Hossa is some kind of enigma. takes some (un
?)due criticism. Great skater. Decent work in the corners, however no one looked for him in the zone. he made no effort to the net. Puck winner only, but he excels at that and lays the wood.

Staal is the goods. Lateral movement is impressive and he deserves more time immediately.

Nobody went to the net consistently save Shanny and Betts.

Very curious that the Ranger centers were high blueline majority of the time.

Thanks kbird. We love Staal. Hossa not so much. Callahan is another we love, and Betts should be centering line 4. He missed to point blank putbacks tonight.
