The Dave Clark Five

Also known as The DC5, the Dave Clark Five were one of the best and most exciting groups of the British Invasion. Glamorized Garage Rockers, they brought the blistering truth of rock's rage to vinyl and the stage. Though their name made them sound like a jazz quintet, they were anything but. Dave played the drums, Mike Smith handled lead vocals and the keyboards, Lenny Davidson played the only guitar and Denny Payton shouted it out on the sax a full decade before anyone had heard of Clarence Clemons. Right now, their music is unavailable because it's tied up in some litigation between Dave and the music company, but we can still watch the rock right here. Behold the Dave Clark Five!
