Planet Terror Has Arrived!

Planet Terror (Dimension, 2007), directed, written, etc by Robert Rodriguez is the other half of the commercially ignored, but creatively delightful Grindhouse double-feature that came out earlier this year. It's a damn good flick and reminiscent in so many ways of low budget action/horror stuff of the seventies and early eighties, with hints of that late fifties and early sixties, to boot, and of course, a nod and a bow to George A. Romero. Rose McGowan was a revelation in both flicks. but here she really commands the lights, camera and action. Really good to see her as something other than the no good hot chick. Check it out!
