Key to the Giants? UDATE He Did Not Show!

Keyshawn Johnson is currently taking a physical for the New York Giants. Now, I don't like this move for the way it could push back the young receivers, but I've got to like the move for the way it could help the young Quarterback. I assume the story will break tonight.

if i were to guess i would guess i would say he wont be signing here
I've stated here before that Toomer isn't doing well.
btw, if he's taking a physical it means he's willing to sign if the money works.
I think that the move will greatly help Eli. I like the move on various fronts. I think Key could actually help mentor our young WR's. It's clearly an upgrade. It gives Eli another big rangy target. Even if Toomer comes back it's hard pressed to think he would be able to contribute much.
I hope we sign him.

Now the Giants are denying this, so we'll have to see what happens. I think this could be the end of Toomer.

they are denying that keyshawn was there today
yeah, they're denying all talks, though I know for a fact he had a physical. I think they'll keep this quiet until they get it done, or don't.
well the new Giants dont say much anymore, and if your positive he took a physical then, he is either gonna sign by tonite or tomorrow morning or not at all, so we should hear something or nothing in 24 hours
I would think the fact they brought Key in is a clear signal the end is near for Toomer. Do we agree this is an upgrade?
If he's healthy and Toomer's not it's an upgrade. I kind of hate the idea of Toomer going to way of Simms and Bavaro.

I don't know. If you're in NYC call Smith and Wollensky's and try to page him, though they usually go over to dinner later, and have been more secretive than ever this year.

well NFL network just reported we do have strong interest
they must know something that we know.
Without saying it directly yesterday on Sirius TC indicated we have interest.

sorry for long response, watching Lost..i think in the end hes gonna want more money then were offering and its gonna be the deal killer
we haven't been able to give our money away this offseason.
but with Jerry i think hes gonna set a limit for keyshawn contract wise and keyshawn is gonna want more and there both gonna seperate ways again just like last year

He was on the schedule to show up at HSS where they do the physicals yesterday, but he didn't show.
