My Greatest 100 (or so) Albums...

Escape Artist (Epic, 1981) Garland Jeffreys. Garland Jeffreys was one of the truly underrated singer/songwriters of the `70's. A mixture of Black, White and Puerto Rican, he was the embodiment of New York, and a great, great songwriter straight out of Brooklyn. Check this one out, if you can find it. The great songs include R.O.C.K (Rock), Mystery Kids and my favorite, Christine. As you can see, I couldn't even find a big picture of it on the net! But it's really worth finding and playing. Good luck.

Great album, sadly outta print (come on Epic!!!). His website has some cool pictures, etc. His myspace pretty cool too. His new album, is out in Europe now. I don't see any info on it coming out here. It has some of the Escape Artist songs on it. Looks like a best of with one/two new songs? Anyway, this guy's Ghostwriter album was this good too - both album MUST HAVE/OWN records(ok, cd's).
