Rangers: Joe Thornton Rumor?

Okay, this is the trade I've been sort of dreading, each time I've said I think there's a trade coming.   Some NHL Rumor guys on Twitter, who've been ahead on most stuff are saying it will be Thornton for Staal, Fast, picks of McIlrath.  

First of all, Thornton may not be worth Staal at this point.  He's 34 and makes us older.    And he's been sort of polarizing at both of his career stops, though it's not necessarily his job to meet other people's expectations.   Fast is no biggie.   But we can't keep giving away picks in these deals, they are crippling us.   Also, McIlrath was picked to be a certain guy for the Rangers, so let him be that.  The team is a little softer than it need be and if Staal is traded they need another good D.

Not at all in favor of what the rumored move is so far.   We'll wait and see.
