Rangers: Sign Another Old Minor Leaguer
The Rangers today came to terms with C Nick Tarnasky. He's another 28/29 year old who's a minor league regular and an NHL occasional. This is getting a little annoying as prospects could end up getting blocked by these guys, even though in a pure meritocracy they couldn't be blocked by these guys. AV just seems allergic to giving kids a few games to catch up with NHL speed. They can't see it in the AHL and, thus can only get so ready down there. He needs to trust his core more and let the kids see if they are not only good enough to play in the NHL but to become part of the core.
In other Ranger news, it's a little quiet on the Ranger front and this sometimes means Sather is working up a trade. I assume he will for a real C, and let's hope it's one of his great ones, and not one of the ones where he gives them all the picks they ask for. Those trades are already hurting us.
