Xavier McKinney Out with a Broken Foot

In tough new for the Giants, the promising Xavier McKinney will be out for at least awhile with a broken foot. This is tough because he was being trained up to be a swiss army knife in the defensive backfield and was playing like the first rounder the Giants had graded him as during the draft. Prayers for a speedy recovery.  Next man up.

In other tough news, ILB David Mayo has meniscus issues in one of his knees and will also miss time. He was surprisingly good against the run last year, and may have had some other upside in the new D.

Had hoped the lack of preseason action would have spared the Giants some injuries. The McKinney foot is a tough one.
