The Knicks Get Screwed Again


The Leon Rose draft era has started out with an OOF.  He seemed to be doing so many things right, but even earnest and proper effort couldn't bring them the lottery luck they've been missing since 1985.  They will pick 8th whenever the draft occurs.  They'll either take a crappy C from Arizona or PG Cole Anthony or someone. They've had no luck anywhere past 6 or so. What a kick in the guts.  They're not even gonna get a player that can excite the fan base. What a frigging disaster.

Do not fret, I think this may be a blessing in disguise. I think there will be good players there at 8, 1-8 in this years draft is a crapshoot, no clear cut dominant players. Let the other teams take the risk of a bust. Tankathon has us taking Haliburton which I would want the Knicks to take over any PG and up to pick #4. A guy like Okoro could be a perfect fit as a young leader or Devin Vassell who would give them a deep shooter and good D.

It's an umipressive draft, and I think having to wait an extra 3 months for the lottery only to get pick 8, made it worse last night. Not crazy about any of the players in this particular draft. Let''s hope they can find three gems.
