Knicks Hire Johnnie Bryant
In another intriguing move, the Knicks are hiring Coach Johnnie Bryant away from the Utah Jazz with an "Associate Head Coach" title. Just as Coach Kenny Payne is known for his work with bigs, Bryant is well known for his work with guards and wings. He's a young coach who played collegiately for Utah before joining the Jazz as a player develeopment assistant in 2012. From there, he moved on to becoming a full time member of the coaching staff in 2014. This is another coach with a level of developmental expertise, like Payne. Now the Knicks should be looking for a shooting coach and a defensive coordinator to help Thibs insteall and maintain his Ice Defensive or anything new he develops.
