Crazy Day in Giants Land
The Giants claimed 6 players off of waivers earlier, and to make room for the cut QB Alex Tanney and waived QB Davis Webb. Webb was the big armed 3rd round pick from Jerry Reese's last draft. He looked a bit like an old school Kerry Collins type, but that, apparently is not what Shurmur and Gettleman want. Kyle Lauletta looks like a playmaker, and that seems to be what they favor. It will be a bit surprising if they don't add another QB, either to the 53 or the PSquad, but WOW.
The added players are DE Mario Edwards, WR/RS Clay Kaelin, DB's Antonio Hamilton, Michael Jordan, and Kamrin Moore, plus C Spencer Pulley.
Hunter Sharp, Evan Brown and Josh Banks, were also cut. Practice squad is coming together.
UPDATE: John Jerry was also cut.
It's unclear whether Tanney has been cut or not.
UPDATE: William Gay has also been cut.
UPDATE: Jerrell Adams, too. He deserved it, if he had caught that ball that hit him on the numbers after Lauletta had scrambled free the other night, everyone would understand what's going on today.

Not seeing the Tanney cut.
Jerry gone.
I guess it’s becoming even clearer that the only person who thought that Reese wasn’t a terrible GM was Mara.
Having said that, I like the waiver wire moves, but I am still concerned about the QB position going forward.
I like Lauletta a lot.
I like him too, but obviously we need to see more...but not any time soon. ;)
I've basically watched all his films leading up to and after the draft. I'll probably make a post about him tomorrow, but I thought he'd flat beat out Davis Webb, and he did.
Raanan is obsessed with Webb. Going back to taking a QB at 2 I get, but harping on a pick by a failed regime? It cannot only be about football with him.
Clearly it isn't.
