The Roster Crunch is Upon Us
Greg Bird will return Saturday, and the roster crunch they've been putting off is finally on. I've already reasoned this out that because Walker can play all positions but short, and Torres is really a short, but can cover 2nd (brilliantly) and 3rd, we don't need Torreyes to cover anything on D. And we don't need a mascot. Let's see what happens, but Tyler Austin has already single handedly won a couple of game for the Yanks this year and is deadly against LHP, and Andujar has done nothing to get demoted.

the yanks could probably start another MLB team and beat most of them.
Hanley Ramirez DFA’d. The Yankees, with all their money, should be a pro-active with dead weight. The Sox ate even more with Sandoval.
Typical RAB today. A nice breakdown of Torres statistically but a strong defense of Torreyes. Great at assembling facts but bad at interpretation.
Torreyes does nothing that other players on the roster do, and much better bv
Kratz traded, Lind released
Acquired Wilson Castillo
Our AAA pitchers were benefitting from Kratz. Lind must have sought his.
Kahnle activated.
Strangley, last night I tossed and turned sensing a Yankee trade -- I wake up and it's Kratz?
I would love to know what Hicks could bring back in a trade.
Plus CF, plus plus arm and occasional patience and pop probably brings something.
btw, I think they are playing Clint Frazier at CF so much to see if he's ready to take the job, because his bat is already more consistent than Hicksy's.
Great job Hicks.
he was just safe then just out.
That Judge throw went 100.5 MPH.
We need to get production from the top of the order again...

This is not their best lineup.
Gleyber should play SS.
Didi with shit ABs.
Gleyber is good.
You should not. run on Judge.
Sevy was good enough.
Great D by Judge and Gleyber and great hitting by Gleyber. Top of the lineup has to wake up. They can't keep asking Andujar and Gleyber to to everything.
Someone needs to be on Didi about having the patience he showed in April. Look at Sanchez — he was ridiculously unlucky but maintained a good approach. He entered today hitting .280/.431/.640 in May.
Gleyber is bae.
