Carter DFA'd Tyler Austin on the Way

After tonight's thrilling Torreyes walk off, the Yankees finally did what they had to do.  They DFA'd Carter and recalled Tyler Austin.  Tyler's bee crushing AAA and he just deserves to be contributing all of that to the Yanks. It's been a crazy ride for Tyler.  I think when the history of this next dynasty is written, Tyler Austin will be seen as the turning point for the Yankee drafts and farm.  He'll bring the lagging energy back to the club while we await the return of Greg Bird.

I would DEFINITELY play Austin over Refs, but Carter sucked hard and yet they still played him over Refs. So I wish they would DFA Refs. I think he can hit and walk if some team gave him a shot.

Good move in Austin and let him play everyday until/if Bird returns.

Tanaka was the ace we have been expecting all year long last night against Dervish.

I think they have to throw Refs and some others into trades as I've been saying for years, the 40 is a big problem.

Agreed. Need to trim the fat and move these B and C level guys.

Refs doesn't have a future in NY.

And you cannot sit Sanchez. He's better than Holliday. And Holliday is better than Austin.
