Knicks KP and Take Frank Ntilikina!
I knew we would be in the lottery since before the season even ended, so I took a long look at the lottery type players, and decided I only wanted Ball, if the Knicks won the lottery, or Ntilikina if they stayed at 6. Thus I freaked when they fell to 7 and again when they feel to 8. Frank is a proper guard to go with Kristaps and Willy. He's selfless, like Ball, and unlike Melo, Rose and most other players the Knicks have had since they traded for Marbury. Okay, Gallo was cool, and Lin was, too, but they got traded, as I was concerned KP would be. This kid also loves defense and can be the point of that if we play box and 1. I just love this pick and we have two more.

It's a fine pick, under the circumstances, and they will be in the lottery again so hopefully they will do a better job of tanking.
Yeah, but this draft is deep starting around now, and they could get two or at least one more good player in the second.
Also, as I've said, Phil has had two of four first round draft picks during his tenure, So yeah he's been erratic, and played some self masturbatory mind games, but it's tough to rebuild the team when you don't have your own first round picks.
The whole thing, where Phil lost his mind lately, really had me worried we'd blow up KP, and go with a completely different model. We finally have our own 1's and though we didn't get a bunch of picks from the celts and lose our best player, we're gonna be able to compete soon.
Hope he stays over in France one more year, we trade Melo and Tank next year. I like this pick.
He won't have to. He's the real thing.
No he needs to be here learning the country on the culture, as well as the system in NBA life.
Got two more picks...
Adjusting to the country and culture is no big deal, he's playing in a city. The Culture on the Knicks next year will be horrific, he'd be better in a winning culture one more year and working on his weaknesses.
Well we disagree about enculturation
lionheart, what have you looked at? I loved this kid and wanted him starting from the U18's.
Kalel, I like the pick and player. It's the Knicks "situation". We will stink next year no matter what and by default FN is likely our best PG right now. He could make us win a few games next year but what does that do for us?
With Melo on the team likely to be sparring with PJ, tension between the FO and KP over exit interview and trade rumors, plus new stuff to develope as it always seems to do with the Dolan/PJ tandem. I'd rather FN stay away one year, mature mentally (he's18), get better in the same way HernanGomez did, ultimately make us lose more with less talent so that we can do a true rebuild with young talent and high (top 3) draft picks.
I think by next year things will be more settled, we'll likely drop Melo, hopefully get a few more draft picks, KP and PJ will likely hash out their issues, who knows PJ could be gone (on his own) along with his demand for the triangle, also look for ANOTHER coaching change.
No Aldridge for Melo. Longer contract and they need to tank.
