Rangers Trade Stepan and Raanta to Arizona

This is breaking and the details may change a bit, but the Rangers are trading Stepan and Raanta to the Coyotes for the 7th pick in tonights draft, and 21 year old RHD Anthony DeAngelo.  This seems like a very light take back for the Rangers.  Perhaps there are more picks involved, since going into tonight they only had a 1, 4, 5, 6, and I think a 7.  This is also tough, because Step has long been one of my favorite Rangers.  I wish both players the best now and always.

Precursor to other moves..I said core needed to be broken, so far Gorton has agreed. curious what's next..

Getting a 1st for Stepan is huge, especially #7.... I love him too but this is a deal you make 10/10

We might use the 21 and 7 to move even higher. Though we really could use 2 first rounders, unless there's a superstar.

Also frees up money for a potential signing of Shattenkirk? We NEED to replenish our youth with elite type prospects! I loved Stephan but the way the league is structured you can't hold onto players forever.
