Giants Pick Up Odell's 5th Year Option

The Giants very predictably picked up pro-bowl WR Odell Beckham Jr.'s 5th year option from his rookie contract. There was no need to work on a longer contract, especially after his abysmal performance in the playoffs. Still, he is uber gifted, and should solidify his status as he continues to mature. If the Giants can get back to having a reliably productive running game, Odell will continue to set records and maybe get a ring before they need to make a new deal.

I hope he learns to be a little more deliberative in his choice of recreational activities.

And true, he is the secondary victim of their offensive line failures.

Rap Sheet

The next running back domino to watch: LeGarrette Blount and the #Giants. There is mutual interest there. A potential match before the draft

The Conley news could cost the Giants a player.
