Knicks Considering a Trade for Derrick Rose

This is the same picture we used back when the Knicks were in the 2008 Lottery to see if they were moving up.  Of course, the didn't and the Bulls got the prize.  However, Ian Begley is now reporting the Knicks are considering trying to trade for Rose.  Not really sure what they could give up other than cap room, unless this became an expanded deal where parts like Melo and RoLo end up elsewhere.  Also, Rose has had some injuries since this 2011 MVP season, including a major knee, and it's unclear whether or not he'll ever be an iron man going forward. Also, he's been more of a scorer than a faciliator with the Bulls, though that may be a factor of who his teammates were and never having a big man like KP.

Phil isn't trading a 1st for D rose - he refused to give up picks for any player. If bulls wanted more cap space, we can just take him on as a 1 year flyer who hopefully has a career year as he enters FA. This saves our cap space for 2017 when it will be a banner class for PG.
