Eli Dooms The Dolphins

It was just one of those games where Eli was too much.   He just went 27-31, 4 TD's and 340 yards as the Giants finally finished one.  Odell was also pretty spectacular 2 TD's and 166 yards.   Jennings also had some good runs, as did Darkwa in very limited use.  The defense was bad again, and dropped two or three picks that could have made this a laugher.  Cooper Taylor was flying around on ST's and D and that was a pleasant surprise.   Of course, the Giants are only interesting if they win next week, and the two after that.  This win will flex the Giants game against the Vikings.

Great game by Eli. He has been victimized by poor player personnel decisions by those above him, but he never complains and he does as much as any quarterback could with players he has around him.

This is such a strange team. Some of what we see may be a consequence of parity, but the talent overall is not that good (and injuries are part of this game). Reese's drafts beyond the first two rounds have been awful. There has been some reason to believe they have been getting better, but now Moore is gone and Williams is either not getting enough of a shot, is a poor fit for this offensive line, or is just another miss.

So we are left with the greatness of Eli and Beckham, and that has compensated for a lot of incompetence.

I think if they got a top-notch GM and head coach they could turn this around quickly and be great again, while Eli continues to play at an elite level. But it seems like Mara has developed Hal's disease of complacency.

I wonder if the fact Tisch is being more vocal will change anything should we miss the playoffs.

Sean Peyton and get Getttleman back.

They had Gettleman and let him go. Peyton, too, who probably has too much baggage at this point.

OK if that's the case go in another direction but at the risk of sounding like a mindless politician, it's time for change.

As an aside, I'd rather keep Coughlin and move on from Reeese than the other way around.

And keeping Reese and promoting McAdoo...UGH.

Any interest in John Harbaugh should he shake loose?

I think Ross needs to be seriously evaluated as well

Harbaugh is a special teams guy that would be a revelation in New York

It sounds like Jennings will now get the majority of carries. Although I really don't like RB by Committee, Jennings has the least upside of their backs. I still think Williams could be very good if he got 20 carries a game behind a roadgrader OL. Here, he may be yet another Reese bust.

I want the Giants to sign Lamar Miller this offseason - enough with this terrible running game. Definitely need to get rid of Reese but I doubt it happens.
