Giants on Day 2

Now that the starting OL is in place, the Giants might want to get this guy some help.   As of right now, the Giants have the 8th pick in the second round, and the 10th pick in the third.   Fortunately, there are more than 42 good prospects left.

On D, I suspect they will could be looking for a long passrusher who'll fit a 4-3 like Odi or Preston Smith.   At 40, they might also be looking at a Safety if Landon Collins or the versatile kid from Utah lasts.  There should also be some LB's, like Denzel Perryman, a DT and the CB from LSU.

Also, the could be some high upside offensive playmakers staring them like Jalen Strong, Duke Johnson and Maxx Williams.  Oh and the OL depth is not exhausted and we could still use another one of those, though, I think that will happen tomorrow as, whoever it is will be depth.

In any event, the Giants could get a great player at 40, and this could easily be one of those years where the fans like the second rounder over the first.

Graziano:

So on Thursday night, they took the player they liked the best -- a player my sources tell me they would have taken even if Brandon Scherff, Kevin White, Dante Fowler and Beasley had still been on the board. This isn't just spin. The Giants really, really like Ereck Flowers.

Vacchiano and Dothead think otherwise.

Some people think the Giants go purely on value regardless of need, but Reese makes it pretty clear that isn't true.

"We're always cognizant of what our need is as well and we think this is a good need and a value pick for us," general manager Jerry Reese said. "We think this can help solidify the offensive line, so hopefully this will settle the offensive line down and we don't have to keep talking about the offensive line as much."

The article also seems to agree with Graziano, and that the Rams wanted Flowers too.

Green beckham would be great but the Giants never draft baggage that high.

I don't like Green Beckham. Small hands for his size.
