Giants in FA, Pt.11: Jerry Reese Hates Eli Manning

Holy crap, are the Giants ever screwing the pooch in Free Agency.   The Giants went into free agency with two gaping holes at OL and S, and limited dollars.  The Giants desperately need a left guard and OL depth because Schwartz is always injured and others might get injured, too.    So, instead of spending money on a quality guard or quality T/G,  Jerry has signed crappy Marshall Newhouse and just as crappy John Jerry.

When Mara, Coughlin and Reese gave their end of the year speeches, they all paid lip service to re-establishing the RUN.  Well, John Jerry was a big reason the Giants didn't run consistently last year  -- and they just spent more limited dollars bringing him back.

Seriously, this OL problem should have been solved 3 times over by now, but Reese keeps alternating good picks with bad, and throwing limited Cap room at guys who suck.   How much does he hate Eli and running the football?

Did new information become available since the last thread?

As I've said, I don't think Reese is more than a great scout. I wish it were otherwise.

Oh.

I hope they haven't entered "we're smarter than everyone else" territory. Because that almost always turns out very badly.
