Yanks Lose Both Ends of a Double Header
Brandon McCarthy was good, and Bryan Mitchell had an encouraging first start minus his best stuff. But the offense was off again for both games, and the only run they got all day was Chris Young homer that should have won game 1, but Warren was not up to the task in extras. This has been a rough season, and it does look like changes are coming.

I would gauge Gardner's market value, and then look to move McCann and Prado's contracts for prospects, which may be possible now that they are finishing on a high note.
Because really, there is nothing they can do to be more than a pack team next season barring $100m of smarter new spending (which will probably backfire over time anyway) coupled with multiple older players regaining their lost youth.
So why not start a multi-year plan that at least stands a reasonable chance of working out well.
It's time to stop the bullshit and face reality.
LINJ, I'm holding out hope that Jeter's retirement will make them say, "OK, the Core Five are gone, time to go full rebuild."
That said, I don't have any faith that ownership would actually go through with that ultimately, so I've resigned myself to more dope contracts and journeymen filler until the team sunk so far there's no longer any sand in which Hal can keep his head buried.
In the meantime, bring on even more bandaids, all while hearing next September something along the lines of, "Well, we're paying these guys big money to produce, and they just aren't! It's not our fault, we spent big money!"
