Knicks Fail To Qualify Murry

The Knicks declined to qualify T. Murry today.  On the face of it, it looks like they're giving up on a young talent, and that doesn't make much sense.  On a practical level, they are saving a millions dollars, which they could be doing for a reason yet unknown.  It's very interesting in any case, and our Vegas rotation just got shorter.  We'll soon see what Phil is up to.

Some media outlets are still saying that the Knicks made a mistake by not matching Lin's offer sheet because they could trade his expiring contract now. But no one is saying that about Amar'e.

Maybe this is all about health and the predictability of games played, and I guess that may be true, but Amar'e showed some skills (albeit greatly diminished from what he once was), but valuable nonetheless.

Lin, otoh, basically sucks unless his inconsistent jumper is falling; Felton without the baggage, including the baggage around the waist, which I suppose isn't an insignificant difference.
