Yanks Win!
Masahiro Tanaka pitched heroically after a tough start, but what's seeming like a big story has been the resurgence of Mark Teixeira. He homered yet again today, and also was intentionally walked at one point. It was a big homer as the Yanks were already down 3-0 when his hit his 2 run jack. Nice. Kelly would eventually homer to give the Yanks the lead and put Tanaka in line for the win. He locked it down after the rough start, and then Betance and Claiborne closed the door as the Yanks kept hitting and won it 9-3.
Tanka has 6 quality starts in a row, and he's the only Yankee to do that this year. Aces always give their team a chance, and Tanaka is that guy now. Unfortunately, things could get ugly soon as CC and Kuroda are really struggling. But it's good to see Tex play like we thought he always would.
