Giants Draft: Getting Close
One week from today we will be in Day 3 of the Giants draft, and will already know 3 or more of the picks. Because of the dire state of their roster, this is a really big draft for the Giants, and if they throw up a dud, heads should roll. It's that big for them. To do that they have to avoid some of the traps they've blundered into lately -- like taking big school/conference sleepers (especially from the Big 10) like Brewer, Sash, Jones, and Dillard. Yeessh, that was a bad predilection. They need to go back to their roots of looking for value off the beaten track like at the smaller schools, as well as in players who've had some non career threatening injuries - that's how they got both Webster and Tuck in their amazing 2005 Draft. They have to go back to hitting home runs all over the place, and quit trying to prove they are smart. They just need to be smart. And if they don't fix the OL they are not smart.

Why do I think it will be Donald in R.1?
It could be, but then they'd have to pray for Bitonio in round 2.
