Pineda Impressive in Yanks Debut
27 Months after the blockbuster trade that made him a Yankee, Michael Pineda finally made a start for the Yanks, and he was damn good. Sure, he pitched into tough luck and a bad ump and replay call, but his fastball was live and his slider was deadly. If he can build from his 6 inning, 1 run, 5H, 5K 0BB start he made today, the Yanks will have added a real horse. Guys like Pineda and Tanaka and Nova could really keep the rotation is good shape while they hopefully rebuild the farm and the O, which has been really inconsistent through the first 5 games. CC goes tomorrow. Let's see if he can pitch like he did once he settled down.
