Giants Cutting Baas?

Rumors are starting to abound that the Giants are going to cut C David Baas.  I assume the move will be reflected as a post- June 1 cut to so the Giants can spread the cap charge over two seasons.   Cutting Baas will be the final undoing of a series of mistakes that lead to the current downtrodden state of the line.   He played okay during the championship run, but there were a few bad draft decisions that lead to his signing in the first place.   Both the decisions to sign him and re-work his deal, have created problems.   Here endeth that, but for the accounting charges.

Hopefully, we'll have a new C tomorrow, and a C of the future from the 2014 draft.

In other Giant rumors, K Josh Brown and surprising CB Trumaine McBride are said the be close to new deals with the team.

Tomorrow is big.

UPDATE:  Baas will be a straight cut, not a 6/1, thus less room will be created.  Word is also that McBride is getting a 2 year deal.
