Jeter Says 2014 is His Finale

Holy Crap.  Derek Jeter has spoken and says 2014 will be his final season.   And this will be the last vestige of the `90s dynasty, unless you count Girardi being the manager -- if he still is -- in 20015.  I think DJ might have played longer had he not lost so much time to injuries.  He had been ahead of Pete Rose's hits pace, but now he'd have to play much longer and he's in a good spot as it is.  So let's savor the last season of the all-time Yankee shortstop.   I hope they do whatever's possible to get him one more ring.  The best draft pick the Yankees ever made.
