Holy crap. My stomach just dropped. Apparently the Rangers have given one team permission to talk to Cally's agent. Some believe this is to make it "real" for Cally and gauge if he really wants to go, while Dreger believes he's as good as gone if he doesn't back off his contract demands which are reported to be 6x7. Whoa, I think my stomach would drop if they gave him that. A lot of his value is intangible and tangible production is usually worth more. It would also set a terrible precedent for future deals. I didn't really think this could happen, but it really looks like it might. The Rangers better get a lot back. He's been their heart and soul.

If they do deal him and they gave permission to talk to the agent it woulld seem that the return would be better, otherwise Sarher is aidiot.
