Yanks Sign Aussie Teenager

You're looking at 17 year old Brandon Stenhouse, the latest member of the Yankee farm.  Apparently the Yanks signed him yesterday after he dazzled at the National tournament down there over the weekend.   You remember a couple of years ago they signed Adam Silva, a catcher, who hasn't really done anything.   And I think there might have been two more back aways and that big guy in the late `80's who people liked but blew out his arm.  Anyway, this kid has reportedly been dialing 93 for awhile now, so, why not?  The report said another team was in on him, but they didn't say who.  Meanwhile, Brandon will attend ST, then go back to Australia to finish school and join the organization next year when he's 18.  So nothing to follow this summer, but another solid arm for the farm.   You can't tell from this picture, but he dwarfs his dad in the other picture I saw. so there could be projection.  Now if only the Yanks had some people who could develop him;)
