Rangers Go Undefeated at Yankee Stadium

The Rangers got timely goals from Pouliot and Carcillo and ended up beating the Islanders 2-1.     The Isles actually scored first with just over a minute left in the second period, but the Rangers answered back with Pouliot's goal before time ran out.   Then Carcillo scored his goal through some front of the net traffic in the third, and that was that.   It was a weird game and there were cracks all over the ice.  We're pretty lucky that no on was seriously hurt.  They'll have to figure some more things out before they do this again next year, and the ratings were such that they will.   And again I salute the players from all three teams for putting on the show and the intrepid fans of all three teams who made it out to the grandson of the house that Ruth built is such terrible conditions.    Now the Rangers have to keep it going till the break.
