More on Tanaka

Now it's being reported that the Yankees and 5 other teams made offers to Tanaka on January 16.  And it seems like people are a little confused.   Any team he's interested in will no doubt have a chance to sweeten the deal till it's agreeable.  It's not like the high offer will win right off the bat, unless it's so high that no one can top it.  Feels like people are getting things a little confused with how the blind bidding used to work for posting fees.   But that system has been replaced by the one price post.   So anything now is as it would be with any other free agent.  Hopefully the Yanks will do what it takes.  It would really help now and over the next several years.
