This Week on the Blog, 1/19 - 1/25

Well this should be another big week on the blog.

Yankees:  The Yankees will know, no later than Friday the 24th whether or not they are getting Masahiro Tanaka.  If they are not, I would expect them to make a trade for a starting pitcher.  If they are getting him, I would expect them to trade for a 3B.  We'll see.  Getting him is important.

Giants:  The Giants will continue reshaping their coaching staff, which is currently down two coaches on the offensive side of the ball.  I think 2 of Sullivan, Loggains and Dorrell will be joining the staff.  They could also lose Marc Ross to a GM job in Florida.  They may or may not start locking up their own FA's.

Rangers:  The Rangers have to keep playing hard for 60 minutes.  If Stepan is ready to be point a game Derek again, that is a huge boost.  Hank has been Hank again and look what that's done.  I don't think any trades are imminent because they are winning, but who knows. There are some trades they should be making to get something instead of nothing for some free agents to be.

Knicks:  The Knicks started this past week on a winning streak.  They ended it on a losing streak.   They look awful and changes are necessary -- but will they be made?  We'll see.

All in all, should be interesting.  Yanks must get Tanaka.  Rangers must keep winning.  Knicks must make changes.  Giants can take their time a little.
