Yankee Season Ends

The Yankees couldn't generate 3 runs given myriad chances tonight, and thus they are done. Let's hope some things can be figured out before they play again. We'll look at the offseason once we have some distance from this. Unacceptable. And I seriously doubt CC Sabathia, who gave up the winning run tonight, can get any more money anywhere else.

Absolutely pathetic showing by the offense. Swung at bad pitches all night and managed one run on 10 hits and several walks? Need another big bat (hopefully Montero), A-Rod to get healthy and Teixeira to stop sucking from the left side.

Chances the Yankees go hard after Yu Darvish?

Feels like they will go after Yu Darvish. I want to see what happens with Choo, we might be able to get him and I have a good feeling if we do.

I also think the Yankees need to take a long, hard look this offseason at how they might come up with the money all at once to eat A-Rod's contract should he continue to decline.

I think there is structured decline in ARod's current deal. I don't think he's done yet, though.

Darvish is going to cost a boatload of money since it will be a sealed bid. I am sure north of 50MM for sure.

Maybe sign A. Ramirez to play 3B and have AROD be the fulltime DH?

I think Dervish will be cheaper than expected. The red sox are always our primary competition for someone like this driving up the price, and after how badly Dice-K has backfired on them and there crazy spending last year they wont be as much of a factor.

ARod's fielding wasn't a problem this year. And unless he starts hitting like ARod he's not gonna be a good DH. Montero should DH when not catching this coming season. He also should have batted more in the series we just lost cause we couldn't hit.

On CC, if he does opt out, I would not offer him any more than the four years, $93 million left on the current contract.
