The Big Rainout

The Yanks were in a 1-1 tie in the top of the second when the rains came and washed away the game, making it more likely that AJ Burnett will have to pitch important innings in this one. Unless they go back to CC Sunday, which may or may not be possible. It's unfortunate that rain could play a roll in this year's ALDS, but so far it is. Go Yanks!

Slightly OT, but reading the comments on some of the Francona firing stories, it's ironic that Sox fans are finally questioning Theo and co.'s ability to evaluate talent and calling them out for all the bad contracts. Guess they're beginning to see through all the Baseball America fluff pieces/overrating the Sox prospects.

They draft pretty well, don't do much in IFA, and really got the worst case scenario's out of the Lackey and Carl Crawford deals. Overall, they've done a good job, and injuries really did hurt them this year.

BA probably fluffs their prospects because they play in hitters parks in the minors. And there has been an industry rumor that the Sox give BA more than other teams do.
