Yanks Crush Texas Again
Tex homered from both sides of the plate for the 11th time in his career. Grandy, Cano, Nunez and Pena, who was called up to replace Jeter on the roster, also homered. Nova was a little up and down, but Ayala, Cory Wade (in his Yankee debut), and Jeff Marquez held the Rangers scoreless the rest of the way. Once again it was 12-4 Yanks. Imagine what it will be like when Montero is up. Wow! Go Yanks!

Once we have a full team finally will be even better. Soriano/Feliciano back by the deadline will be like trades, as well as Chavez.
Michael, in reply to your question in the other thread...
If the Yankees could someone miraculously agree to get Jeter to retire with a handshake agreement to give him the remaining money of that contract via some front office position, I would prefer to see what they could get out of Nunez full-time.
The freed up space should go toward pitching.
Phil, what exactly are the Yankees waiting for with Montero?
I have no idea. Either they are waiting for the Super Two date to pass, or they are asking him to reprove things he proved last year. It doesn't make any sense.
I want to see Montero up here as well but he needs to play EVERYDAY and he wont be able to DH (He is not a C) with Posada on the roster.
Playing him 2-3 times a week will not help his development.
Thoughts?
BTW..I like the idea of perhaps Jeter and Arod sharing 3B/DH and signing Reyes.
When does the Super 2 date pass?
