Rangers Buy Out Drury

Today, the Rangers began the process of buying other their captain, Chris Drury. We had high hopes for Chris Drury when the Rangers got him, as he was just the type of gritty, North American, clutch player the team needed to for their culture change. Unfortunately, his play style had taken its toll by the time he became a Ranger, and the highlights were few. The buyout puts the Rangers even further under the cap, and might allow them to get their RFA's done earlier. And once those are done, they need to give Ryan Callahan that C. Go Rangers.

Phil have you heard anything on a possible Redden deal? Supposedly ekfraud says there could be. I have checked in with my source he can't verify.

Haven't heard anything. But do feel a trade that brings back a good piece will be announced in the next few days. That's just my Ranger sense talking. No sources.
