Nova Goes Deep

Ivan Nova didn't walk a hitter as he threw 8 innings of one run ball. He was credited with 7K's, but was getting a lot of half swings on his curve that could have been called strikes. He'll get those if he keeps throwing it that way. Just a wonderful performance by the kid. The Yanks scored 4 in the first then scored a run without a hit late, and ended up winning 5-3. Ayala and Boone Logan gave up baserunners in the 9th and Mo had to come in. I think Gordon pitches tomorrow. Big win. Go Yanks!

Nova was awesome tonight. I think Rotschild is making a huge difference. Keep it up Yanks!

WFAN show this morning was talking about a supposed rumored trade dealing Gardner to the Astros for Myers.

That would be really surprising. Brett's sort of becoming a "true Yankee."

I didn't hear or read about it anywhere else.

If it were for Wandy then thats a different story IMO.

Is still wouldn't do it. We need to be patient and develop the pitchers who are getting close.
