Garcia Shines!

Freddy Garcia gave the Yanks just what they needed, a dominant start. Tex and Cano homered, and Joba and Mo were swell out of the pen as the Yanks won 5-2. Soriano gave up the 2 runs as he seemed to have more cold weather trouble. Alex left the game with tightness in his oblique. Let's hope it was just weather related. CC throws tomorrow. Go Yanks!

Hope Soriano's troubles are indeed just cold weather related. If he struggles, the Yankees are stuck with that contract for at least another year. :-\

They're never really "stuck" with contracts.

As the younger players filter in, I'd like to see the payroll reduced a bit. The money Soriano is making is way too much for a setup man. I'm hoping he opts out after this year, but if he struggles, no way that happens.
