Whither Andy?
It's been announced that the Yanks are out of the Duchscherer sweepstakes. Getting out at this stage strongly indicates they have either an assurance or other reasons to believe that Andy Pettitte will be coming back to stabilize their rotation. This would be great news and new I'm sure we are all eager to hear . Go Yanks!

I certainly hope so.
I think Pettitte will be back, but what do I know.
I do too, but until Cashman hears that directly from Pettitte himself, he doesn't need to be acting like it's a given.
Yanks sign Garcia to a ML deal.

Now only if Pettite comes back than Nova, Garcia and Colon can battle it out for the 5th spot.
AJ should actually be in that competition.
AJ will bounce back. He started out well and had a dominant July.
I am sure a fresh year and someone like Rothchild can straighten him out this year.
That's a guess.
His xFIP in July was 4.75.
As I said above, unless they know for sure Pettitte is coming back, they should have remained in the sweepstakes for Duscherer.
I don't mind the Garcia signing since it's a minor league deal.
AJ can't be any worse.
Support the player and team.
I support reality first.
Fickle Yankee fan.
No wonder people around the country hate Yankee fans.
We're here to talk about the topics, not each other. Respect is the way to go.
"No wonder people around the country hate Yankee fans."
Are those people anonymous too?
He's retiring. Glad the Yankees eliminated themselves from contention for Duscherer.
So much for the organizational optimism. Cash always has a few things he can pull the trigger on, let's see if he does. I'd rather try some of the young pitchers to start the season.
I think they'll be fine if they are patient.
btw, Phil CNBC has a doc on Disney, tonight, iirc.
Thanks. I'm interested to see if Noesi, Phelps or Warren step up.
