Andy's Still Dandy!

Andy Pettitte did again what he has done so many times before: he won a big game for the Yanks. With big help from deadline pickups Lance Berkman and Kerry Wood, the Yanks moved to a commanding 2-0 lead in the best of 5 series. The Yanks seemed like the were in full control even when they were down 1-0 early. They were. Hughes goes for the sweep on Saturday. Go Yanks!

I was not OK with giving up Montero for Halladay (or Lee), but the Phillies having him plus Oswalt and a good Cole Hamels make them the team to beat, IMO.

I'm so ready for it to be the ALCS so I don't have to listen to the anti-Yankee TBS announcers.

The Phillies can't hit curveballs. We'll beat them if we face them.

Granderson is raking of late. Berkman was clutch. That was Playoff Pettitte at his best. Philthy is next.

I'm not worried about any team.

Survive and advance.

Yanks and Rangers will be a good series.

Hope Yanks can pull it off with Lee pitching games 1, 4 and 7.

TX or TB?

Can TB win game 4 and force a game 5 in Tampa today?

Love to see it happen.

I'd like to see a Game 7 in that series and I would like to see the Giants play the Phillies.

btw, Too bad for the Twins that they didn't face the Yankees from 2005-07; they may have beaten them. Last year restored this team's confidence. If they win the WS this year, they could win three of the next four.

The '05 - '07 Yankees would have lost to anyone in the first round... Didn't matter who.
