Cano Bashes Baltimore
AJ Burnett pitched 8 shutout innings tonight, but he was far from the player of the game. That honor, once again goes to Robinson Cano. Cano hit two more jacks, and missed a third by a foot (it was a double) and also made a phenomenal play at second where he ranged far behind the bag fielded the ball, turned and threw without stopping to set. Just amazing. The players in the dugout were marvelling at him. This is the age 27 year I was expecting and I'm glad to see him having it. He's a heck of a good kid as well as an All Star. Finally back home again tomorrow to face the CWS. Go Yanks!

Just as expected.
I still smile when I think back to that ND Boston chump talking about some mythical scout telling him that Cano would never be any good.
I remember that NoMaas gave up on him a few times.
I don't recall that, but I haven't logged on to NoMaas in years.
I remember them saying he had no power based on a small sample. And them pitching the idea of trading him for Matt Caine off of his bad season in `08.
Robbie has matured and has worked on his pitch selection. Skies the limit. AJ is also off to a great start. If Robbie can stay away from the prolonged slump that has hit him in past years, he will put up ridiculous numbers.
OT, In context, if the report is true, the question that the Miami Asst. GM asked Dez may not have been inappropriate.
Miami's trying to spin it. Dez says that's not what happened.
