Dandy!

Andy Pettitte moved to 3-0 with a sub 2 era today as he pitched 8 innings of 1 run ball, striking out 8 and walking none. Joel Piniero was not so lucky in his second start against the Yanks, they rowdied him up pretty good with big hits from Cervelli, Gardner and Cano. Yanks get some revenge and get back on the winning track. Go Andy! Go Yanks!

Gardner's hot and Swisher's bat is starting to heat up. Just need Johnson and Teix to wake up...

Thames can hit LHP, but he should never, ever play the OF.

This game is still on Vazquez. He was staked to a lead and couldn’t hold it. He deserves until mid-May to right himself, but if he hasn’t by then, it’s time to try another option.

The Yankees could have had Duscherer for less than $3 million, and still have Vizcaino. Now, if he stinks it up the rest of the season, no way we offer arbitration. Thus, it kills the point of getting Vazquez for the picks.

Also, Javy has said repeatedly that he's having mechanical issues. If Eiland can't fix them, what are the Yankees paying him for?

I think I read that Pineiro was their Plan D (considering that the Plan A was Halladay, Plan B was Lee, and Plan C was Vazquez).

But they feared that he was a Dave Duncan reliant creation.
