Potential Blue Goose?
With their second pick in the second round, the Giants took William Beatty, the 6'7" 309 pound natural left tackle from UConn. This is gonna take a year or so, but Beatty has everything you're looking for in a blue goose left tackle except for some technique work. He's got the long arms and the feet that the position demands, and if he works hard, he will be a ten year guy at OLT for the Giants, another excellent pick. We have seven picks left tomorrow. Go Giants!

Does the lack of a #1 WR concern you Phil? I know we discussed getting someone that would roll the safety off, and I just don't think Nicks is the answer. We saw how Eli and the O functioned without Burress..
Nicks will be a #1 WR, and there's a lot of offseason left before we have a game.
Indeed there is a lot of off-season left, but the question becomes what would we have to deal? We'd be talking 2010 picks. Unless tomorrow Reese deals some surplus and something next year... I think we are right there, and are one piece away and hope Jerry is able to bring it home.
Hakeem Nicks will not be a #1 Wr im sorry to say
Dan no shot tomorrow we send an 2010 pick packaged with one of our 7 day 2's?
Nicks will be a #1. He's an Anquan Boldin clone with better speed. He had the best hands and body control in this draft.
I really dont know michael but it really sucks i really do like reese but i feel like he really screwed us over today...Your relying on Nicks..Smith and Manningham(Gulp)...HIXON(Barf)...i hope we run a lot next year
The lack of a #1 affected the run game too, as teams had 8 in the box. Plus the fact we cannot over-use Jacobs. Perhaps I am being shortsighted, but after what we saw last year, minus the Seattle game as they stink on the east coast, our WR's as constituted are not good enough.
There's a lot of time left in the offseason and things are not going to get better between Edwards and the Browns.
