2 Pts

Nik Zherdev had three brilliant assists: to Betts; to Dubinksy; and to Girardi as the Rangers beat Phoenix 4-1. Scottie Gomez returned after a 5 game absence and scored an empty netter after adding back all the energy the Rangers lost when he went down. Dubi scored his first goal in 13 games and had a Gordie Howe Hat Trick, that is, a goal, an assist and a fight. He lost the fight but he and Zherdev were hell on wheels tonight with new linemate Marcus Naslund. They looked a lot better even given the fact that it was against a young and struggling Coyote squad. Go Rangers.
