Crawford for Harrington - DONE
In the first of what might be two trades today, the Knicks have agree in principle to trade Jamal Crawford to the Golden State Warriors for Al Harrington. Talent-wise, the Knicks are trading a shorter shooter/scorer for a taller shooter/scorer. Cap-wise, Harrington's deal runs out in 2010, so the Knicks gain much needed cap space.
Rumors have circulated this morning that the Knicks will also trade Zach Randolph and Mardy Collins, perhaps as soon as today, for Tim Thomas and Cuttino Mobley, both of whom also expire in 2010. This could be a very big day for the Knicks.
UPDATE: Alan Hahn says the Harrington deal is done and that the Knicks might not be done trading to day. Stay tuned!
