Rangers Win by Way of Shootout

The Rangers were flat for the first two periods before picking it up but hitting posts and missing tons of shots in the third. Valiquette was perfect through three periods and the overtime, before giving up a goal in the shootout that the Rangers won 2-1 on goals by Zherdev and Sjostrom. In general it looks like the schedule may be getting to the Rangers as they've been outskated in 4 of the last 6 periods. This is not the best news with another game coming up in Detroit tomorrow night. But, 2 points is 2 points, even if the other team got 1. Having twelve points after 7 games will always work. Go Rangers!
