4 and Oh!

Steven Valiquette got his first win of the season as the Rangers beat the Flyers 4-3 to ruin the Flyers home opener. It was a weird game. The Rangers got out to a 4-0 first period lead on goals by Zherdev, Betts, Rozsival and Sjostrom. It looked like a blowout. But, in the second period the Rangers gave up a short handed goal and then the Flyers were awarded another goal on a play where they knocked down Vali and no goaltender interference was called. They picked up another goal in the third and the Rangers had to kill several penalties, including a 5-3 before it was over. The first line remains snake bit as Naslund and Gomez both hit posts and Drury missed two from point blank. The rest of the Rangers looked like they might be a little burnt over the last two periods. The gift goal from the refs didn't help, and several uncalled interferences by the Flyers were no fun, but the Rangers found a way to hold on and get the two points. That's what matters. Go Rangers.

I know it's off topic what have you heard about Giants and Gonzalez? Do you think we get him?
