Hall Monitor

DeAngelo Hall, the Giants top offseason target, has been off the grid since the scouting combine and it is rather curious that there has been no news of him through the first 24 hours of the FA/Trading Season. You gotta wonder what's up with that. We'll follow it here.

Over on BBI a poster said that Adam Schein mentioned on his show that Hall would be a Giant....

I think so, too.

What sort of package do you think it will take Phil, and will you be okay with the cost?

Boston paper says Giants could be one of 5 times for Randy Moss, I'd like to know what they are basing it on?

The Giants want a WR, maybe they're basing it on that.

I think it will take a 1 and 5 maybe, and a bunch of money to get Hall.

I think a 1 and a 5(since the 1 is essentially a 2) is reasonable. Hall is only 24 and it is almost equivalent to getting a rookie with experience. I do think Reese will open up the checkbook if he has a strong conviction on Hall which it appears he does.

Are there any F/A WR that interest you Phil?

Phil what are your thoughts on Sammy Knight signing?

I'll post them when it's official, which should be shortly.

All is still quiet on the Hall front. Are you still expecting a deal to be completed Phil?

I don't know. Kelly left today without a contract and that either could have something to do with Hall or it could be unrelated.

I was just going to ask what you thought of us kicking the tires on Kelly>? My initial thought was that it meant the end of RW, now I am wondering if it did have something to do with Hall...

it might have.

On Sportcenter they were saying Washington and the Raiders were now the frontrunners.

It seems Washington is the front-runner for everyone..
